Description

The paddle is built from a small sample of core I have got from the Plascore compony of Zeeland, MI.

The core, 13mm polypropylene honeycomb, has a 700K carbon fiber skins factory build.

The paddle shape is similar to the BJ, but a bit wider at the top and more narrow at the bottom of the paddle face, like a teardrop.

The paddle weight is only 7.12 oz.

I gave it a try and have found that:

1. The paddle is too light.

2. The 13mm core is dense and hard.

3. The paddle doesn't grab the ball and it bounce back very quickly, so you have little time to control and spin (dwelling time).

I'm going to re-build the paddle and make it 7.8oz at least.

4. The paddle has been re-built.

The weight now is 8.05oz, after I filled in open cells all around the edges with acrylic latex and silicone along with some lead fishing weights.

It's playable now and much better than a previous 7.12oz version.
